Long time ago, but what does the 'low cut' button do? Is that the low pass sub crossover? And how does the sub out work? Is that controlled by the volume knobs for the 2 main channels as well?

Look very good but I would like an improved version with at least two 6" speakers instead of 4". It should also be able to play as left and right if you bought a second one. You should do a review with sampling a Beethoven or Tchaikovsky symphony or some Judas Priest

I have two jbl charge 5s and two older jbl boomboxes and I will warn all of you no speaker made can handle the song “jaws “ by Sleep Token the drummer is very talented and not even full volume took out one of my jbl boomboxes and took out my jbl headphones last half of the song don’t believe me ? Try it but volume low u still hear blue tooth speakers in pain can’t take it truth 🙂

What would happen if you were to install the speaker and grill onto the sub tube instead would you get a good quality sound and deep bass? If i wanted to install the inards into a box and add a much bigger battery say 4 of those packs in parallel would it still charge the same or would i need to build the pack and add a BMS? would love to build one with a much bigger battery

Currently, the JBL Charge 5 is retailing in outlets at anywhere from €140.00 to €169.00, whereas the Soundcore is around €75.00, while the JBL may be louder and more bass (it is a 40w speaker v the Soundcore at 30w) but its nearly twice the price of the soundcore Motion plus. So you can purchase 2 soundcores for the cost of 1 JBL charge 5, which makes the soundcore the best option.

For those who saying about the equalizer will make a huge difference in motion plus and blow the charge 5 away. Yeah it will make a huge difference as the jbl app only allow you to change bass , highs and mids compated to soundcore app. But keep on mind, you can use a custom eq ( jet audio full version) on jbl.charge 5 and it will be on another league compared to motion plus. I did the same and tested them both, charge 5 is the best.. but price wise you jave to give it to motion plus

You missed the whole point to have the wifi connection. You can actually use it to stream music from your phone or PC without annoying anyone with the sound of your phone when you use it simultaneously to scroll, send messages or receive calls. Is this worth the price gap and the loss of party boost? It depends on what you want to do with it. The base charge 5 is basically an external speaker for a phone, and I don't want my speaker to emplify every sound my phone make, only what I want.
